WHAT WE BELIEVE
1. The Scriptures
The Bible is the infallible Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and is relevant through time and eternity.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness...”
2. The God Head
There is one God, existing co-equally, eternally in 3 distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things...”
3. Man- His Fall and Redemption
The bible says man’s sin separated him from God and that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Therefore, because of man’s sin and inability to stand before a holy and just God and stake claim to eternal life; God had to provide a savior, Jesus Christ. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and fulfilled the laws and demands of God. He gave his life as a sacrifice to satisfy the demands of justice. Only through faith in the name of Jesus are we saved and brought back into divine union with God.
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus..."
4. The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He is the second member of the God Head. Who pre-existed with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus took upon Himself the form of man, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary. Jesus Christ was sinless, perfect, crucified, died, was burried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father. He is the perfect mediator between God and man. He is fully divine and fully human. He is of the same substance with the Father as to His divinity and of the same substance with us as to His humanity.
"Jesus is the image of jthe invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him."
5. Holy Spirit and Holy Spirit Baptism
The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Holy Trinity. The Holy Spirit has been sent to be a comforter and guide by God the Father. He dwells with us and is in us through the Baptism of the Spirit. We believe in the present-day ministry and baptism in the Holy Spirit which empowers believers to fulfill their call and carry out the Great Commission as taught by Jesus. The fruits and gifts of the Spirit are active and relevant today. The primary evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is empowerment and the ability to pray in a supernatural prayer language the bible describes as tongues.
"And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance."
6. Baptism
We believe in water baptism, as taught, demonstrated and commanded by Jesus, as the way for believers to identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
"And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins..."
7. Healing
We believe in Divine healing as taught in the Word of God. We believe Jesus and His Word are the same yesterday, today and forever. Christ is the Healer.
"And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease."
8. Hell and Eternal Retribution
The Bible describes heaven and hell are real places. Hell is a place of suffering and a place of permanent separation from God for those who die without accepting Christ. God’s desire is that no one be separated from Him for eternity, which is why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth. Heaven is a place without pain, suffering and death. It is a place of where we are united with family and friends who have died in Christ who have gone before us. Heaven is a place of love, peace, joy and perfect communion with God.
